It is the gateway to Railway Complex and it is the place where the tour of our 360 Virtual Tour begins. The tour begins from this point towards the Railroad Crossing where the FCAB tracks cross with those of the Longitudinal Railroad, the point chosen for the construction of a Maestranza Station for the FCLN.
This semi-circular building, built at the beginning of the 20th century, is built mainly of Oregon pine and zinc with capacity for 16 steam locomotives. This is the milestone that leads us to tour the productive and industrial sector of the Railway Complex, in which we will be able to learn about the work techniques, tools and machinery that were used.
This milestone refers to the most inhabited sector of the railway complex, which had a large number of houses for railway workers and their families. in this sector there was a small civic neighborhood in which the basic school, the Santiago Watt union headquarters, a cultural center, public baths, multi-court etc. were located.
